Officers set up a checkpoint near Chaugan, adjacent to the IPH Office in Nurpur, where they stopped a vehicle (registration number HP33B-5089) and seized 8 cases, totaling 96 bottles, of illegal country liquor.
The individual apprehended has been identified as:
- Amit Kumar, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Sunera, village Kopra, Tehsil Nurpur, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
Kumar was taken into custody at the scene, and a case has been filed at the Nurpur Police Station under Section 39(1)A of the HP Excise Act. Authorities have confirmed that further legal actions are underway.
