NTA Responds to NEET-UG 2026 Leak Allegations

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has categorically rejected claims circulating on social media regarding a supposed leak or sale of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination question paper, labeling these assertions as 'false' and 'fraudulent'.

In a statement posted on X, the NTA emphasized that messages suggesting a 'leak', early access, or 'sale' of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination paper are designed to mislead students and their families.

The agency stated, "The National Testing Agency (NTA) has observed certain messages circulating on social media and messaging platforms claiming a 'leak', advance access or 'sale' of the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination question paper."

According to the NTA, these claims are deceptive and intended to mislead, asserting that they are propagated by 'organized cheating rackets' looking to exploit the fears of candidates and their families by selling counterfeit question papers.

The NTA further explained, "Such content is the work of organized cheating rackets that prey on the anxiety of students and their families. Their objective is to extort money by selling fake 'papers', and every such claim circulating is a fabrication."

The integrity of the examination process remains intact, with all necessary safeguards in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for all candidates, the agency reassured.

The NTA is actively identifying and reporting the offending channels, accounts, and content to the relevant platforms and cyber-crime authorities for prompt action.

Additionally, the agency is filing a formal complaint with law enforcement and cyber-crime authorities, warning that creating, sharing, or forwarding such fraudulent content and attempting to defraud students is a serious offense.

"Strict action will be taken against those responsible," the NTA stated.

Candidates and their families are advised against engaging with, paying for, or forwarding such messages and to avoid falling victim to these 'fraudulent solicitations'.

The NTA urged everyone to rely solely on official communications issued through its verified channels.

"We encourage all aspirants to disregard these rumors and to depend exclusively on official communication from NTA via its verified website and channels," the statement concluded.

"To every candidate appearing for NEET (UG) 2026 — focus on your preparation with confidence. Your hard work is what matters, and NTA is committed to conducting a fair, secure, and credible examination," it added.

The NEET-UG for medical course admissions was conducted on May 3 this year but was canceled by the NTA on May 12 due to allegations of a paper leak. The CBI is currently investigating this issue, and a retest is scheduled for June 21.
