Djokovic's Milestone Victory

On June 2, Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, currently ranked World No. 6, made history by defeating Cameron Norrie from the UK in the fourth round of the men's singles at the 2025 French Open.

With this victory, Djokovic reached an impressive milestone of 100 match wins at Roland Garros, becoming only the second player to do so, following his rival Rafael Nadal. He had previously secured his 99th win against Austria's Filip Misolic, and then triumphed over Norrie in straight sets with scores of 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, joining Nadal in the exclusive 'Century Club' at this prestigious clay-court tournament.

Prior to the tournament, Djokovic had accumulated 96 wins at Roland Garros and required just four more victories to hit the 100-win mark, which he achieved with remarkable ease, advancing to the quarterfinals without losing a single set throughout the event.

A Historic Achievement

By achieving 100 match wins at a Grand Slam, Djokovic becomes the third male player to reach this milestone, following Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and the sixth overall, joining the ranks of Serena Williams, Chris Evert, and Martina Navratilova.

This accomplishment further cements Djokovic's legacy as one of the greatest players in tennis history. His consistency and longevity at the top level of the sport are evident, particularly on a surface he has often deemed his least favorite, where he has won 20 titles, including three French Open championships. Notably, this milestone came just a week after he celebrated his 100th career title at the Italian Open, the traditional precursor to the French Open.
