Northeast Frontier Railway Introduces Additional Festival Special Trains

GUWAHATI, Sept 5: To accommodate the anticipated surge in travelers during the festive season, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the extension of services for two pairs of festival special trains, as detailed in a recent press release.
The extended services include train numbers 09189/09190, which operate between Mumbai Central and Katihar, and train numbers 04127/04128, running from Kanpur Central to Guwahati.
These additional services are designed to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic during the festive period. The trains will adhere to their current schedules, including timings, composition, and stops.
Specifically, train number 09189 (Mumbai Central to Katihar) will operate for seven extra trips on September 5, 12, 17, 24, October 31, November 7, and 14. Conversely, train number 09190 (Katihar to Mumbai Central) will also run for seven additional trips on September 8, 15, October 20, 27, and November 3, 10, and 17.
Meanwhile, train number 04127 (Kanpur Central to Guwahati) will have 14 extra trips scheduled from September 10 to December 10, 2026. The return service, train number 04128 (Guwahati to Kanpur Central), will also operate for 14 additional trips from September 11 to December 11, 2026.
The introduction of these special train services is expected to greatly assist passengers by offering more travel options and alleviating congestion on popular routes.
