North India Monsoon 2025 LIVE Updates: After enduring weeks of extreme heat, North India is experiencing a notable decrease in temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the southwest monsoon is advancing towards the northern and central parts of the country. Weather officials predict that India will witness above-average rainfall in the final days of June.


This forecast arrives as a severe heatwave continues to affect various regions. The anticipated climate shift is expected to provide relief to residents. From June 17 to June 20, heavy rainfall is expected in states including West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. Other areas likely to be impacted include Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, East Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, and West Rajasthan.
