Robbers Arrested Following Police Encounter
On Saturday night, the Noida EcoTech-3 police apprehended three notorious robbers involved in stealing from pedestrians by offering them rides in their car. This information was confirmed by the police.
According to police officials, the arrested individuals have multiple prior offenses registered against them.
The media spokesperson for Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh reported that the EcoTech-3 police were conducting checks near a barrier on an unpaved road when they noticed a suspicious vehicle approaching.
Upon signaling the car to stop, the occupants attempted to flee instead of complying with the police's request.
The police pursued the vehicle, managing to corner it, at which point the criminals opened fire on the police team. In response, the police returned fire.
The spokesperson revealed that the police gunfire injured two suspects: Jiyaullah, son of Anisurrahman from Motihari district in Bihar, and Aman Gupta, son of Pradeep Kumar from Etah district. A third accomplice, Naseem Ali, also known as Riaz, managed to escape but was later captured by the police.
The authorities recovered a car, three firearms, ammunition, and cash amounting to ₹6,500, along with an ATM card and a PAN card from the suspects. During interrogation, it was revealed that these criminals would pick up pedestrians under the pretense of offering a ride, only to assault them and steal their mobile phones and cash. They have admitted to committing several such robberies.
