A New Era for Uttar Pradesh's Economic Development

Today marks a significant milestone for Uttar Pradesh as the Noida International Airport in Jewar commenced its inaugural cargo flight. This event is not merely the launch of a cargo service; it represents a crucial step in integrating Uttar Pradesh into the global supply chain.

Local Leaders Celebrate the Historic Occasion

During this landmark event, local MLA Dhirendra Singh remarked, “Just a few days ago, farmers from Jewar took their first flight to Lucknow to express gratitude to the Chief Minister, and today, this very land is witnessing the launch of cargo flights that will steer Uttar Pradesh towards economic prosperity. This transformation exemplifies development, vision, and public participation.” He noted that the first cargo aircraft, operated by Afcom Cargo, has made a significant contribution by connecting the Noida International Airport to the emerging air cargo network in the country.

Cargo Flight Details and Future Prospects

The first cargo flight transported fresh lychees from Pathankot to Chennai via Jewar Airport, while spare parts from Maruti arrived from Bengaluru. This clearly indicates that the Noida International Airport is evolving into a vital logistics hub catering to various sectors, from agriculture to the automobile industry. MLA Dhirendra Singh emphasized that the cargo services at Noida International Airport will be a boon for farmers, entrepreneurs, exporters, and MSMEs in western Uttar Pradesh. Now, locally produced fruits, vegetables, dairy products, processed food items, electronic devices, medical equipment, engineering products, and e-commerce materials can reach domestic and international markets more swiftly.

Infrastructure Development and Future Expansion

It is noteworthy that the Noida International Airport has developed a state-of-the-art integrated cargo terminal by Air India SATS (AISATS), with an initial capacity of approximately 255,000 metric tons of cargo annually. Plans are in place to expand this facility further, establishing it as the largest logistics hub in North India. This integration of road, rail, and air transport will invigorate trade activities across the region. MLA Dhirendra Singh praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating, “Thanks to their visionary decisions, Jewar has become a symbol of industrial, commercial, and logistics future in North India, rather than just a legislative constituency.”

A Bright Future Ahead

In conclusion, MLA Dhirendra Singh expressed, “The cargo flight from Jewar is not just transporting goods; it is carrying the hopes of Uttar Pradesh's farmers, the dreams of its youth, and the economic strength of a new India to new heights. In the future, Jewar will establish its unique identity as one of the most significant logistics and trade centers on the global map.”
