Chief Minister's Directive for Hospital Development

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar instructed officials to expedite the construction of a new building at the Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Narayan (LJP) Super Specialty Hospital located in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna.


The Chief Minister emphasized that the government's goal is to provide patients with comprehensive and state-of-the-art medical facilities at a single location. In line with this objective, the LJP Hospital in Rajvanshi Nagar is being developed as a super specialty center for orthopedic diseases, which includes the construction of a new specialized building.


He mentioned that modern amenities are being made available for the treatment of orthopedic-related ailments. According to a statement released by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Kumar also inspected the hospital premises and gathered information about the available facilities. During his visit, he sought feedback from patients and their attendants regarding the healthcare services.


The statement further noted that Kumar instructed officials to ensure that there is no negligence in the treatment of patients. It is noteworthy that the government has approved the construction of a specialized building with a budget of ₹215 crores, which will accommodate 400 beds. The six-story building is currently under construction, with a target completion date set for March 2026.
