In a ceremony attended by several prominent BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Nitin Naveen will officially take over as the new national president of the BJP on Tuesday. According to reports, the announcement of his name is expected between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Before assuming his role as national president, top BJP officials gathered at the party headquarters. Nitin Naveen, who has been elected as the national president, offered prayers this morning at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi. He was accompanied by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and ministers Pravesh Verma and Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
BJP Welcomes Its Youngest President
Today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will welcome its new national president, Nitin Naveen, who has been elected unopposed. At just 37 years old, he becomes the youngest individual to hold this significant position, especially as the party aims to strengthen its influence ahead of crucial state elections. Senior leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Rajnath Singh, were among those who proposed Naveen's candidacy.
Out of 37 nomination papers submitted, 36 were from state units of the party, while one was from the BJP parliamentary party. Naveen joins a lineage of notable BJP presidents, starting with Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who became the first president in 1980, followed by Lal Krishna Advani in 1986, who served three terms. Other notable presidents include Murli Manohar Joshi, Kushabhau Thakre, Bangaru Laxman, Jana Krishnamurthy, Venkaiah Naidu, Rajnath Singh (twice), Nitin Gadkari, and Amit Shah.

BJP leader Pramod Kumar praised the party's decision to support Nitin Naveen as the new national president. According to reports, Kumar stated, "This is the BJP, the world's largest party, which has elevated a grassroots worker to the highest position and entrusted him with the most esteemed responsibilities.
