Nitin Nabin Officially Becomes BJP National President
Nitin Nabin was officially appointed as the National President of the BJP on Tuesday, succeeding JP Nadda and marking the beginning of a new chapter for the party as it aims to strengthen its influence in national politics. K. Lakshman, the returning officer for the organizational elections, announced the results and presented the election certificate to the 45-year-old Nabin, who is now the youngest individual to hold this prestigious position. The BJP headquarters witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nadda, senior ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, and several others who gathered to witness this leadership transition. Nabin is the 12th president of the BJP, which was founded in 1980, the same year he was born. Known for his simplicity and low profile, Nabin resigned from his role as the Minister of Law and Justice, Urban Development, and Housing in the Bihar government after being appointed as the party's working president on December 14.

Nabin acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence that BJP workers would lead the party effectively in these five states through their dedication and hard work. He recalled slogans from the party's early days, such as 'Ram Lala hum aayenge, mandir wahi banayenge,' and 'Ek desh mein do vidhan, do nishan, do pradhan nahi chalega.' Nabin reflected on the significant moments in the party's history, including the paving of the way for the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370, which transformed the atmosphere in Kashmir.
