Nitin Nabin's Upcoming Nomination

Nitin Nabin, who was appointed as the party's working president in December, is scheduled to submit his nomination on January 19, with the election for the president likely to take place on January 20. According to party insiders, all chief ministers from BJP-ruled states, state BJP presidents, national office bearers, and senior leaders have been requested to be present in Delhi for this event. The party's chief election officer, K. Lakshman, will announce the name of the national president, Nitin Nabin.

Three sets of nominations will be submitted for the national president position. One set will bear the signatures of over 20 elected state BJP presidents, while another will include the signatures of prominent leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and J.P. Nadda.

Preparation for the Election

The third set will consist of signatures from members of the BJP National Council. Sources indicate that if only one name is nominated, the announcement of the national president will be made on the same day. Furthermore, a crucial meeting chaired by J.P. Nadda has commenced to discuss preparations for the BJP presidential elections.

Present at the meeting are working president Nitin Nabin, B.L. Santosh, Sunil Bansal, Arun Singh, and Tarun Chugh. This meeting aims to review the preparations for the BJP presidential elections scheduled for January 19 and 20. Nitin Nabin, a five-time MLA and minister from Bihar, was appointed as the party's working president last December, signaling the party's focus on youth leadership under the current national president, J.P. Nadda.

Active Engagement in Upcoming Elections

Since his appointment as national working president, Nitin Nabin has been actively involved in the party's preparations for upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, and Puducherry. Recently, he visited Tamil Nadu to assess the party's readiness to face the DMK led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Prior to Tamil Nadu, he was in Assam, where BJP's Himanta Biswa Sarma is expected to face a tough challenge from Congress.
