Nitin Gadkari Emphasizes BJP's Inclusive Ideology During Nagpur Campaign
BJP's Commitment to Inclusivity
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that the ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) teaches its members to rise above caste and religion to serve everyone, asserting that the party does not oppose Muslims.
While campaigning in Nagpur on Friday, Gadkari expressed that if the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance secures a majority in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections scheduled for January 15, it will fulfill the aspirations and dreams of the citizens. He assured that he would personally guarantee the performance of the candidates.
Addressing Misconceptions
Gadkari, a senior BJP leader, held three public meetings in the city to dispel misconceptions surrounding the party. He remarked, 'We are not against Muslims, but we stand against terrorists and Pakistan. Muslims who have sacrificed for this country are as dear to us as Hindus. Anyone can visit a mosque, gurdwara, or Buddhist vihara, but we assert that our blood is one; we are Indians and work for everyone.'
Promises of Development
He reiterated that the hopes, desires, and dreams of the people would be realized if the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is elected with a full majority. Gadkari stated, 'I will be the guarantor for BJP candidates.' He also highlighted various infrastructure projects initiated by himself and the Maharashtra government.
Addressing a gathering in North Nagpur, he countered claims from some opposition leaders that violence would ensue if the BJP comes to power.
BJP's Ideology and Representation
The MP from Nagpur emphasized that the BJP's ideology teaches its workers to serve everyone without discrimination. Gadkari affirmed his loyalty to the party and its principles, stating that he represents all constituents, whether they voted for him or not.
He stressed that he works for everyone, transcending caste and religion. Additionally, he refuted the 'misinformation' that the BJP intends to alter the Constitution, pointing out that it was the Congress party that attempted to amend the Constitution 80 times.
