New Delhi, July 27 - Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari expressed his belief that the Ramayana is a narrative that should be told in two parts, with the first segment concluding on a thrilling note. Tiwari attended the San Diego Comic-Con alongside actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash to promote the upcoming mythological film.

During a panel discussion at Comic-Con on July 23, Tiwari participated alongside actor Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and producer Namit Malhotra. Following the panel, he shared insights in an interview with IGN, stating, 'We will end the first part of the film at an exciting juncture, something that will compel audiences to return for the second part.'

The director of 'Dangal' emphasized that this story cannot be encapsulated in a single installment. 'We decided that this would be the most fitting point to conclude the first part, from where the narrative for the second part can seamlessly continue,' he added.

In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, while Yash will take on the role of Ravana. Actress Sai Pallavi is set to play Sita, and Sunny Deol will appear as Hanuman. The film is slated for a two-part release, with the first part expected to hit theaters during Diwali in 2026.

The cast also includes Ravi Dubey, Vivek Oberoi, and Arun Govil, among others. Reports indicate that this film, produced with a budget of ₹4,000 crores, will be distributed globally by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
