Nishant Kumar Visits JD(U) Office Following New Government Formation
After the establishment of the new government in Bihar, Nishant Kumar, son of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, made his first visit to the state office of the Janata Dal (United) on Thursday afternoon. During this visit, he engaged with journalists who posed various questions. In his interactions, he openly expressed his support for the leadership of the new government. Nishant referred to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary as his 'big brother' and extended his congratulations, also wishing Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary well.
Nishant expressed optimism that Samrat Chaudhary would steer Bihar in a new direction and affirmed his commitment to work under his leadership. He also mentioned that both he and his father would fully support the new administration. Nishant clarified that he plans to connect with the public and play an active role in strengthening the party organization. He aims to fulfill his father's uncompleted dreams. This statement from Nishant comes at a time when speculations about his political future were circulating following the new government's formation.
According to sources, discussions about appointing him as Deputy Chief Minister took place before the government was formed, and efforts to persuade him for the position continued until the afternoon of April 14, but he declined the offer. Nitish Kumar had resigned from his position on Tuesday. Newly appointed Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary stated on Thursday that he would draw inspiration from Sikh Guru Gobind Singh to work towards the prosperity of Bihar and the nation. Chaudhary visited the Patna Sahib Gurudwara, a sacred site associated with the tenth Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh.
On Wednesday, senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chaudhary took the oath as Bihar's 24th Chief Minister. This marks the first time a BJP leader has held the top position in the state. Chaudhary expressed his inspiration from Guru Gobind Singh Ji and prayed for his blessings to remain with the people of Bihar, guiding the state and the country towards prosperity.
