Nikhil Chaudhary, an all-rounder from Australia, is setting his sights on securing a position in the national teams across all formats. As Australia gears up to defend its title in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and prepare for the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup, Chaudhary is determined to make his mark.

Long-Term Aspirations

In a recent interview with Cricinfo, Chaudhary expressed his desire to play One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test matches for Australia. His primary goals include participating in the 2027 ODI World Cup and the subsequent T20 World Cup. "I aim to play 50-over cricket and, if given the chance, Tests as well. My first goal is the 2027 ODI World Cup, followed by the T20 World Cup the next year. I aspire to represent Australia for as long as possible," he stated.

Debut and Dedication

Chaudhary made his T20 International debut during a three-match series in Bangladesh last June. Although he has yet to play in an ODI, he credits his ascent in Australian cricket to his unwavering work ethic. "My strategy has always been consistent: work diligently, give my best, and strive to help my team succeed. Whenever I get a chance, I aim to perform," he remarked.

Upcoming Tour to India

Later this month, Chaudhary will join Australia A for a tour to India, where they will compete in two unofficial Tests and three ODIs against India A. The all-rounder from Delhi is excited about the opportunity to represent Australia on the international stage.

Thoughts on National Representation

"Many players never get the chance to represent their country and often end their careers playing domestic cricket or move abroad for club cricket. For those who love the game, the desire to play remains, regardless of the team," he shared.
