New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a chargesheet against two primary shooters implicated in the 2024 Neemrana hotel shooting, which is connected to Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dala, as reported by officials on Sunday.
The accused, Puneet and Narinder Lalli, have been named in a chargesheet presented to a court in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Saturday, facing multiple charges under the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, the Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
According to the NIA, the shooters from Punjab were responsible for the gunfire and were also involved in extorting and threatening the proprietors of the Highway King Hotel in Neemrana, Haryana.
With this latest development, the total number of individuals charged in this case has reached nine.
The hotel attack occurred in September 2024, orchestrated by the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) gang, led by the designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh, also known as Arsh Dala, in collaboration with the Bambiah gang.
The planning of the assault was attributed to gang members Dinesh Gandhi and Saurabh Kataria, while Puneet and Narinder executed the attack under the protection of Dala and Gandhi, as per the agency's claims.
During the investigation, the NIA revealed that Puneet and Narinder utilized illegal firearms during the incident and issued threats on behalf of the criminal syndicate.
Additionally, it was discovered that the duo had been consistently receiving financial support, shelter, and weapons from the syndicate to further the objectives of the KTF.
