Significant Arrest in Red Fort Blast Investigation


New Delhi: In a significant development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended Yasir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, who is closely linked to the suicide bomber Umar-un-Nabi. This marks the ninth arrest related to the Red Fort blast incident, as confirmed by officials on Thursday.


Dar is accused of being actively involved in the conspiracy that led to the tragic explosion on November 10, which resulted in the deaths of 15 individuals and left numerous others injured.


According to the NIA, Dar had reportedly pledged to engage in self-sacrificial operations as part of the conspiracy.


The NIA spokesperson stated, "Yasir Ahmad Dar, the ninth individual arrested in this case, hails from Shopian, Srinagar (J&K). He was apprehended in New Delhi and is now in custody..."


Dar maintained close connections with other suspects involved in the case, including the deceased bomber Umar-un-Nabi and another accused, Mufti Irfan.
