In a surprising turn of events in the Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow, a newlywed woman left her husband just nine days after their wedding to elope with her lover. Notably, she had only arrived at her in-laws' home a few hours prior. When her husband returned home in the evening, he found her missing. A search of the house revealed that not only was she gone, but also her jewelry and clothes were missing, prompting him to file a complaint at the Mohanlalganj police station.

Details of the Elopement

According to reports, the woman from Purseeni was married to a man from Rajakhera on March 11. After the wedding, she returned to her parental home. On March 20, her husband brought her to their home for the first time. After leaving her at home, he went to visit his uncle, but upon returning in the evening, he discovered she had vanished. Local villagers informed him that they had seen her leaving on a motorcycle with a young man.

Upon receiving this information, the police contacted the woman's mobile phone, and she revealed that she had traveled to Haryana with her lover and was not planning to return. Shortly thereafter, she arrived at the Harikanshgarhi police station with her partner, where she firmly refused to return to her husband, expressing her desire to stay with her lover. She also requested police protection. Her husband and local villagers arrived at the station later that evening, where both parties remained until late.

Background of the Lover

Inspector Brajesh Tripathi stated that both the woman and her lover are adults and voluntarily approached the police. However, it was revealed that her lover is already married and belongs to a different community. The police have recorded their statements and are currently investigating the situation. Given the sensitive nature of the incident, authorities are considering legal aspects and ensuring safety as they proceed with the case.
