In a startling event from Turkmanpur locality in Gorakhpur, a bride fled with her friend and another man, taking with her cash and jewelry valued at 1.5 million rupees within a month of her marriage. The entire incident was captured on the family's CCTV cameras. Upon learning of the theft, the family immediately contacted the police by dialing 112.


Reports indicate that Manish Kushwaha, a resident of Turkmanpur Patwari Tola, married a girl from the Tiwari Pur area on April 27, 2021. Following lockdown protocols, Manish arrived at the marriage venue with a grand procession. The wedding rituals included door worship, garland exchange, and the couple taking seven vows. A feast was held at Manish's home on April 29, after which the bride returned to her parental home for a few days.


On the night of May 27, around midnight, she stealthily left with her accomplices, taking cash and jewelry. Manish reported that everyone was asleep when he discovered his wife missing the next morning. They promptly informed the police, who reviewed the CCTV footage, revealing the entire incident. Manish stated that the bride left with valuables worth approximately 1.5 million rupees, including cash, jewelry, and clothes. The Rajghat police are currently investigating the case.
