Today, the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, officially opened a new ultrasound facility at the Civil Hospital in Dalhousie.


During a public event held at Bachat Bhavan, Pathania emphasized the significant strides made by the state government in enhancing healthcare services over the last three years. He expressed appreciation for Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, noting that the administration is committed to expanding healthcare infrastructure and providing advanced, technology-driven medical equipment. This initiative aims to improve access to quicker, more affordable healthcare for citizens.


Highlighting the challenges faced by Chamba district, Pathania pointed out that despite its extensive and dispersed geography, notable advancements have been made in healthcare, education, drinking water, electricity, and road connectivity. He mentioned that the government is focused on delivering services to remote and hard-to-reach areas, with tangible improvements now evident.


Pathania expressed his hopes that the introduction of ultrasound services at the Dalhousie Civil Hospital will serve both local residents and tourists. He reaffirmed his dedication to the comprehensive development of the Bhatiyat constituency, revealing that construction on drinking water projects valued at ₹190 crore is nearing completion and will soon be inaugurated.


Earlier in the event, Chief Medical Officer Dr. J.S. Bhardwaj welcomed the Speaker and provided key updates regarding the health department.
