Punjab BJP's New Leadership and Vision

On Thursday, the newly appointed president of the Punjab BJP, Keval Singh Dhillon, introduced an ambitious initiative aimed at benefiting the state's farmers and youth. Speaking to a news outlet, Dhillon expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections. He emphasized the need to work towards making Punjab the best state globally, focusing on farmer welfare and job creation for the youth. Dhillon asserted that the BJP will form the next government in Punjab.

Leadership Changes in Punjab BJP

National BJP President Nitin Nabin has appointed Keval Singh Dhillon as the new head of the party's Punjab unit, succeeding Sunil Jakhar. Dhillon, a former Congress leader, served as a member of the Punjab Assembly from the Barnala constituency between 2012 and 2017. He joined the BJP on June 4, 2022. Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh congratulated Dhillon on his new role, wishing him success in strengthening the party across Punjab.

New Appointments Across States

Alongside Dhillon's appointment, the BJP has also named new state presidents for Delhi, Tripura, and Haryana. Archana Gupta has been appointed as the president of the Haryana unit, while Union Minister Harsh Malhotra takes the helm of the Delhi unit. Gupta expressed gratitude to the party's leadership for their trust and outlined her priorities, which include strengthening the organization, promoting communal harmony, and ensuring greater participation of women in politics and the economy.

Focus on Women's Empowerment

In an interview, Gupta highlighted that women's empowerment will remain a key focus. She noted that when the Prime Minister implemented the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, other political parties opposed it. Women have recognized which party supports them and which does not. In West Bengal, the public has responded decisively against the TMC. Women will stand firmly with the BJP, the Prime Minister, and the Chief Minister of Haryana.
