Commissioner Takes Charge with Immediate Inspections
On April 6, in Jaipur, newly appointed Municipal Commissioner Mr. Om Kasera began his tenure with a surprise inspection of various municipal departments on his very first day. The inspection lasted over an hour, during which he provided essential directives to the officials.
Mr. Kasera reviewed several departments including the Personnel, Horticulture, Revenue, Vigilance, Hoarding, E-Governance, Planning, Atal Service Center, Public Assistance Center, Smart City Command Control Center, Call Center, and a Child Care Home. He also checked the cleanliness of the municipal headquarters' restrooms and parking facilities.
During his inspections, he ordered the removal of clutter, old cabinets, and broken chairs that were scattered around. He set a deadline of seven days for officials to improve the organization of these areas.
The new commissioner emphasized that facilitating public services—such as birth and death certificates, various NOCs, and building approvals—will be prioritized to ensure timely and efficient processing. He expressed a commitment to making Jaipur a clean, beautiful, and green city.
Mr. Kasera stated that all municipal officers and staff would work collaboratively as a team and pledged to enhance the corporation's revenue through all possible means.
