Thanks to the persistent efforts of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Gwalior's Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport is poised to introduce new flight services connecting Gwalior with Delhi and Bengaluru, as well as Bengaluru with Gwalior. Expressing his delight over this development, Scindia stated that this initiative will significantly improve connectivity for Gwalior and the Chambal region, providing travelers with enhanced and quicker access to major cities.
Details of the New Flight Services
According to reports, Akasa Air will be launching new flights on this route. Currently, Indigo operates flights from Gwalior three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). With the introduction of Akasa Air's new flights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the total number of weekly flights will increase to six. This service was made possible through the continuous efforts of the Union Minister and multiple discussions with airline officials. The direct connection between Gwalior and Bengaluru, a major hub for IT and startups, is seen as a significant achievement for the region.
