Emerging Details on Tyler Robinson's Discord Activity

Recent revelations about Tyler Robinson have ignited significant speculation online following reports that the 22-year-old allegedly discussed the deadly shooting involving conservative commentator Charlie Kirk on Discord prior to his arrest. Sources indicate that Robinson was a member of a Discord server with over 20 participants, where discussions included FBI-released images of the suspect linked to the 2025 shooting. At one point, Robinson reportedly made a joke suggesting that the person in the images was a 'doppelganger' attempting to implicate him.

Just before his arrest, a message purportedly sent from Robinson's Discord account seemed to contain a confession. The message stated, 'Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I'm sorry for all of this.' Another message allegedly indicated that Robinson intended to surrender through a friend and expressed gratitude to the group for the 'good times and laughs.'

These messages have sparked conspiracy theories online, particularly regarding the timeline of events. Podcaster Baron Coleman and various commentators highlighted a discrepancy between the timing of Robinson's Discord confession and official court records. Coleman asserts that the confession was sent around 8:57 PM, while records indicate Robinson may have been in police custody by approximately 6:25 PM that same evening.

Coleman's assertions gained traction with conservative podcaster Candace Owens, who has been involved in numerous conspiracy theories related to Charlie Kirk since the UVU shooting last September. Further controversy arose when journalist Ken Klippenstein allegedly shared screenshots of the chat logs on Substack, revealing that the Discord group had been largely apolitical prior to the incident.

In response, Discord stated that an internal review found 'no evidence' suggesting Robinson had planned the attack or promoted violence on the platform before the shooting. The company also confirmed that Robinson's account has been suspended. The FBI is reportedly broadening its investigation to scrutinize all members of the Discord server to ascertain if anyone had prior knowledge of the alleged attack.
