In a significant advancement for the educational landscape of the region, the DAV College Managing Committee (DCMC) based in New Delhi has officially taken charge of the BSL School located in Pandoh. The institution will now be known as DAV Public School BSL Pandoh, representing a crucial move towards enhancing access to quality education for local students.

This development has been met with great enthusiasm by the residents of Pandoh and surrounding rural areas. For many years, students from nearby villages faced the challenge of traveling long distances or seeking better educational options outside their locality. The establishment of a DAV school in Pandoh brings hope to families, allowing children to receive quality education much closer to home.

Previously, numerous students from this region had to travel approximately 20 to 25 kilometers to attend the DAV Centenary Public School in Jawahar Nagar, Mandi. The new arrangement is anticipated to alleviate this burden, offering students modern educational facilities and a nurturing learning environment within their community.

The DAV education system is well-regarded for its blend of modern academic practices with a strong focus on ethical values and cultural traditions. The newly managed school will adhere to the guidelines set forth in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing skill development, holistic learning, and the overall personality growth of students.

To celebrate this new beginning, Justice Pritam Pal, Vice President of the DAV College Managing Committee, is scheduled to visit Pandoh on March 18, 2026. A Vedic Yajna will be held on the school grounds to officially inaugurate the initiative. This ceremony will feature the chanting of Vedic hymns and the Gayatri Mantra, with prayers for the school's success and the well-being of its students.

K. S. Guleria, the Assistant Regional Officer (ARO) of DAV Zone-C and Principal of DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, shared a message with the local community on this occasion. He emphasized that the DAV educational model aims to foster a balanced learning environment where contemporary knowledge is intertwined with moral and cultural values, shaping responsible individuals.

Admissions for classes ranging from Nursery to Class IX have already begun at the institution. With the introduction of the DAV system in Pandoh, students are expected to enjoy enhanced infrastructure, experienced educators, and a broader array of opportunities designed to facilitate their academic and personal development.
