On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, which will operate weekly between Varanasi and Pune's Hadapsar, as well as between Ayodhya and Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. According to a statement from the Ministry of Railways, the Varanasi-Hadapsar service will facilitate easier access to Kashi Vishwanath Dham, while the Ayodhya-Mumbai route will simplify travel to the Shri Ram Temple pilgrimage site. This initiative aims to strengthen connections between major religious destinations.
Benefits for Daily Commuters and Pilgrims
The ministry's announcement highlighted that these trains are expected to greatly benefit daily commuters, migrant workers, and pilgrims traveling between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra by providing direct connectivity and eliminating the need for train transfers. Officials indicated that a schedule for regular operations will be announced shortly after the inaugural journey.
