Netanyahu Delays Son's Wedding Amid Rising Tensions with Iran

Wedding Postponed Due to Conflict
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly postponed his son Avner's wedding due to escalating tensions with Iran. The wedding was originally scheduled for June 16, where Avner was to marry Amit Yardeni.
Protests Erupt Over Celebrations
The planned wedding has drawn criticism from anti-government protesters, who pointed out the irony of the Prime Minister celebrating while hostages remain in the hands of Hamas in Gaza.
Airstrikes on Iran
On June 13, Israel conducted airstrikes targeting nuclear facilities, military installations, and missile sites in Iran, resulting in the deaths of high-ranking military officials and scientists. In response, Iran launched a missile attack on Tel Aviv, which resulted in at least 10 fatalities and over 80 injuries.
Drones Intercepted
Earlier that day, the Israeli military reported intercepting seven drones aimed at its territory. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed that these unmanned aerial vehicles were launched from Iran.
IDF Releases Interception Footage
The IDF shared footage of one interception carried out by a Navy missile boat. Additionally, the Israeli Air Force targeted several ballistic missile launchers in Iran, releasing video evidence of these strikes.
Continued Escalation of Hostilities
Tensions between Israel and Iran have intensified for a third consecutive day, with both nations conducting attacks on each other. The Israeli military reported striking the Iranian defense ministry headquarters in Tehran and targeting various sites linked to Iran's nuclear weapons program.
