Netanyahu Claims Success Against Iran Amid Failed US-Iran Talks
Netanyahu's Bold Statement on Iran
In New Delhi, following the unsuccessful peace negotiations between the United States and Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a significant announcement. He asserted that the campaign against Iran has effectively targeted its nuclear and ballistic missile initiatives.
Netanyahu emphasized that while the campaign is ongoing, it is already evident that they have achieved historic milestones. He noted that Iran had attempted to suffocate Israel from all sides, with threats from Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Assad regime in Syria, militias in Iraq, and the Houthis in Yemen.
He remarked that while Iran aimed to strangle Israel, the situation has reversed, with Israel now countering those threats. Iran had previously issued threats to annihilate Israel, but now it finds itself fighting for its own survival. This escalation began on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes against Iran. Netanyahu's comments came after talks between the US and Iran in Pakistan ended without any resolution on Sunday.
Failed Peace Talks Between the US and Iran
Bens stated, 'The bad news is that we did not reach an agreement, and I believe this is worse news for Iran than for the US. Therefore, we are returning to the US without any agreement.' He clarified that they have clearly outlined their red lines, specifying what they are willing to negotiate on and what they are not. Despite their clarity, Iran has refused to accept these conditions.
Iran Blames the US for Negotiation Failure
Iran has attributed the failure of the talks to the unreasonable demands from the US. According to Iranian state media IRIB, the Iranian delegation proposed several initiatives, but the US side obstructed progress, leading to the discussions ending without any results.
