Netanyahu Addresses Death Rumors Amid Ongoing Conflict with Iran
Netanyahu's Response to Death Speculation
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently shared a video on social media to refute rumors regarding his death following an alleged Iranian attack. In the clip posted on platform X, he humorously addressed the speculation while enjoying coffee at a cafe. "I am dead… for coffee," he quipped, using a Hebrew phrase that expresses a deep affection for something. He continued, "You know what? I'm 'dying' for my people. Their behavior is fantastic." During the video, Netanyahu raised his hands to the camera, countering claims that artificial intelligence had altered footage from a recent press conference, which purportedly showed him with six fingers on one hand. "Do you want to count my fingers? You can see them here… and here. See? Very nice," he remarked.
In his message, he also spoke to the Israeli public about the ongoing conflict, urging them to stay vigilant while commending their resilience during the crisis. "Go out and get some fresh air, but stay near a protected space," he advised. He expressed that their strength inspires him, the government, the IDF, and the Mossad. Netanyahu confirmed that Israeli forces are actively engaged in operations against Iran, stating, "We are doing things that I cannot… at this moment, but we are hitting Iran very hard, even today." He encouraged citizens to keep pushing forward as well.
While the exact location of the video remains unconfirmed, social media users speculated it was filmed at a coffee shop near Jerusalem. However, this information has not been independently verified, and Israeli officials have not commented on Netanyahu's whereabouts. Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a threat against Netanyahu, declaring their intent to target him. "If this child-killing criminal is alive, we will continue to pursue and kill him with full force," they stated.
The situation escalates as the conflict between Israel and Iran marks its 16th day, following intensified fighting after coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian positions last month. Reports indicate that residential areas in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province, were attacked recently. The Tasnim news agency described the assault as a terrorist act against civilians. Additionally, an attack on Isfahan resulted in 15 fatalities and numerous injuries. In a related development, twenty individuals were arrested in northwestern Iran for allegedly collaborating with Israel by providing information on military and security assets. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced its "50th wave" of operations targeting US bases in the region, claiming these actions were directed against the US military in the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that the US had utilized cruise missiles from the UAE, near Dubai, and hinted at potential retaliation from Tehran, which could pose significant risks for the region.
