Nepal's Vision for Diplomatic Resolution

New Delhi: Nepal is keen on addressing its border disputes with India through diplomatic channels, emphasizing that no issue is insurmountable when both parties engage with sincerity, stated Nepalese Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal on Sunday.

Khanal expressed that the newly formed government in Kathmandu aims to view India without the biases of contemporary geopolitical tensions, aspiring instead to foster a mutually advantageous relationship that promotes prosperity for both nations.

His comments followed extensive discussions with India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, marking the beginning of his three-day visit to New Delhi, which is aimed at enhancing bilateral relations amidst ongoing controversies related to remarks made by Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah regarding the border issue.

Khanal asserted, "No issue is too significant, and no border too intricate when we approach discussions with an open heart."

He further stated, "We regard India with openness, clarity, and a unified, transparent goal: the economic advancement of Nepal."

Rejecting hyper-nationalistic rhetoric, Khanal advocated for a calm, data-driven strategy to tackle challenges.

He praised India's economic progress, noting, "When we look across the border, we see a Rising India—an India that has redefined itself as a dynamic, rapidly growing technological and economic force on the global stage."

Khanal concluded by expressing Nepal's eagerness to collaborate with this ambitious India, bringing forth the energy of an Aspiring Nepal.
