Drug Arrests at Kathmandu Airport
Kathmandu: Authorities in Nepal have apprehended two suspects, one of whom is an Indian national, for allegedly transporting illegal narcotics on a flight from Bangkok to Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday night.
The police seized a total of 10 kilograms and 420 grams of marijuana from the individuals.
As per the official announcement from the Nepal Police headquarters, the arrested suspects are Somask Patcha, a 43-year-old Thai citizen, and 29-year-old Pereira Giffin from India.
They arrived in Kathmandu aboard a Nepal Airlines flight, carrying the drugs.
The suspects have been transferred to the Narcotics Control Bureau for a detailed investigation.
