NCC Launches Talent Hunt for Aspiring Cricketers in Mumbai
NCC's Talent Hunt Announcement
The National Cricket Club (NCC) in Mumbai is set to host a three-day 'Talent Hunt' event from October 26 to 28, 2026, at its Cross Maidan facility in Marine Lines. This initiative is designed to discover talented cricketers aged between 16 and 23 who have the potential to shine in the sport but lack access to quality training and coaching.
Opportunities for Selected Players
NCC plans to select 20 players who will receive comprehensive support, including:
1. Full access to NCC's training facilities for regular practice and skill enhancement.
2. Coaching from certified coaches affiliated with the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
3. Opportunities to visit international clubs for immersive experiences.
4. Pathways to build a cricketing career and compete in prestigious MCA tournaments, such as the Mumbai T20 League.
5. Future prospects of playing in the Ranji Trophy and potentially representing the Indian national team.
A Commitment to Inclusive Cricket
Rajdip Gupta, President of the National Cricket Club and Chairman of the Mumbai T20 League Governing Council, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in cricket. He stated, 'India has a rich cricketing heritage. To maintain our leadership in world cricket, we must create a more inclusive environment for players from diverse backgrounds. This Talent Hunt aims to uncover promising talent that may not have access to such opportunities and provide them with the necessary support to realize their potential. We believe this program will pave the way for these players to advance in the sport.'
How to Participate
Players interested in participating should arrive at the venue on Monday, October 26, at 8 AM.
The Talent Hunt is backed by the SanRaj Group, a diversified business entity committed to enhancing cricket by providing young players with access to quality resources, facilities, and professional coaching to elevate their game.
