In a tweet, Patnaik stated, "Following the advice of medical experts, I will undergo cervical arthritis surgery at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on the 22nd of this month. My personal physician, Dr. Ramakant Panda, is coordinating the procedure in Mumbai. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the good wishes of my brothers and sisters from Odisha, I hope to return soon to continue serving you all."

It is prevalent, impacting over 85% of individuals aged 60 and above, and many may experience it without any symptoms.
