Naveen Patnaik's Recovery Journey


Bhubaneswar: The chief of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Naveen Patnaik, is expected to arrive back in Bhubaneswar on July 12 following a successful recovery from his cervical spine surgery, as confirmed by party officials on Thursday.


According to BJD's senior vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra, Patnaik is set to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Saturday afternoon.


He traveled to Mumbai on June 20 for the procedure, which took place on June 22. Patnaik was discharged from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on July 7.


The surgery was performed by Dr. S Rajasekaran, a renowned orthopedic surgeon and chairman of Ganga Medical Center and Hospitals in Coimbatore, in collaboration with the medical team at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
