Nasscom's Initiative to Strengthen India-US Ties


New Delhi, July 4: In a bid to bolster collaboration between India and the United States, Nasscom has announced the establishment of the US CEO Forum, set to take place at the Consulate General of India in New York on July 9.


This forum aims to unite prominent Indian technology leaders with key US stakeholders to facilitate high-level discussions on innovation, enterprise, policy, and talent development, as stated by the leading IT industry association.


Rajesh Nambiar, President of Nasscom, remarked, "The initiation of the US CEO Forum is a significant milestone in enhancing Brand India globally. Indian tech firms are not only driving digital transformation in the US but are also generating employment, investing in local communities, and fostering innovation that has a tangible impact."


The forum is designed to be a strategic venue for strengthening partnerships, aligning with essential stakeholders, and showcasing Indian technology as a crucial player in the growth narrative of America.


India and the US maintain one of the most strategic technology partnerships worldwide. In a time characterized by digital disruption and advancements in frontier technologies, tech collaboration has become a fundamental aspect of bilateral relations, covering areas like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, digital public infrastructure, green energy, and resilient supply chains.


As a premier leadership platform, the Nasscom US CEO Forum seeks to enhance India-US tech collaboration by gathering leaders from government, industry, investment, think tanks, academia, and the Indian diaspora.


This initiative aligns with the broader goal of strengthening trade and economic relations, supporting the $500 billion bilateral trade target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the US President, and highlights the essential role of the tech sector in achieving this objective.
