Modi Achieves Milestone in Political Leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made history in Indian politics by achieving a significant milestone in terms of prolonged governance. His tenure is now recognized as a pivotal moment in the context of Indian democracy.

As per the latest reports, Modi has become the leader with the longest tenure in an elected government, having completed a total of 8,931 days in office, which includes his time as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and as the Prime Minister of India. Previously, this record was held by Pawan Kumar Chamling, the former Chief Minister of Sikkim, who served for 8,930 days.

Modi took office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and remained in that position until May 2014. He then took the oath as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, and has maintained his position since then. His political leadership spans nearly 25 years, marking a significant achievement.

Notably, Modi is the first leader from a non-Congress background to secure a full majority in the Lok Sabha and has won three consecutive general elections in 2014, 2019, and 2024. Analysts view these victories as a sign of sustained public support for his leadership.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that he is the first Prime Minister born after India gained independence. He is among the few leaders with extensive governance experience at both state and central levels.

In February, he crossed the milestone of over 100 million followers on one platform, a remarkable achievement for any current global leader.
