Senior advocate Narender Guleria, based in Mandi, has successfully secured re-election to the Himachal Pradesh Bar Council, marking his second consecutive term in this prestigious governing body of the legal profession in the state.
His recent victory in a competitive election is seen as a testament to his professional integrity, administrative skills, and ongoing commitment to addressing the needs of the legal community. Guleria achieved a commendable fifth place among 47 candidates, showcasing his robust support throughout the state. The council has elected a total of 18 members, comprising 14 men and 4 women.
Previously, Guleria served on the Bar Council in 2011 and became one of the youngest Vice Chairmen, further enhancing his reputation within legal and institutional circles.
In expressing his gratitude, Guleria thanked his fellow advocates for their trust in his leadership. He reaffirmed his dedication to promoting the interests of lawyers, enhancing institutional frameworks, and contributing to the effective administration of justice in Himachal Pradesh.
An alumnus of Himachal Pradesh University, where he earned his law degree from 1998 to 2001, Guleria began his legal career at the District and Sessions Court in Mandi, practicing there from 2001 to 2017. He later took on the role of Additional Advocate General for the Himachal Pradesh government from 2017 to 2022, managing significant legal duties and representing the state in crucial cases.
Currently, he practices at the Himachal Pradesh High Court and leads his law firm, “Guleria Associates and Partners.” He continues a legacy of legal service inspired by his late father, Karam Singh Guleria, a well-respected figure in the Mandi legal community.
In addition to his legal work, Guleria has been active in social organizations, having served as District President of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and being involved with the national executive of the BJP’s legal cell.
His re-election is viewed as a pivotal moment for the legal community in Himachal Pradesh, especially for younger practitioners who see his journey as a model of professional excellence, institutional contribution, and public service.
