Minister Nara Lokesh at the Wedding

On Thursday, Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Education and IT, along with his wife Brahmani, graced the wedding of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar, in Mumbai. They arrived in the city on Thursday morning to partake in the lavish ceremony held at The St Regis Hotel. The Tendulkar family extended a warm welcome to the couple during the event.


Blessings for the Newlyweds

During the celebration, Lokesh and Brahmani offered their blessings to the newlyweds, Arjun Tendulkar and Saniya Chandok, presenting them with a bouquet as a token of their good wishes. The wedding was attended by numerous distinguished guests from various parts of the country.


Introducing Saniya Chandok

Saniya Chandok, who got engaged to Arjun last August, comes from a notable family. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, the Chairman of the Graviss Group, and has been a close friend of the Tendulkar family, especially Arjun's sister, Sara Tendulkar, for many years.


Arjun Tendulkar's Cricket Journey

At 26, Arjun has played five matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Mumbai Indians (MI), taking three wickets and scoring 13 runs. He currently represents Goa in domestic cricket after debuting for Mumbai in 2021. Recently, he was traded from MI to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction and is set to play for LSG this season.


His Time with Mumbai Indians

Arjun was first acquired by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 lakh during the IPL 2021 mini-auction but did not play that season. He was bought again for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2022 mega-auction, making his debut in 2023 with three wickets in four matches. In IPL 2024, under new captain Hardik Pandya, he played only one match. During the IPL 2025 mega-auction, he went unsold initially but was later picked up by MI at his base price of Rs 30 lakh, although he did not play that season and remained on the bench.
