Major Drug Bust in Nagpur

The Nagpur police have successfully confiscated methamphetamine (MD) valued at more than ₹53 lakhs and apprehended two traffickers from Rajasthan in connection with the case. Authorities provided this information.


On Tuesday, the M.I.D.C. police received a tip-off regarding two individuals planning to sell MD near Sangam Marg in the Wanadongri area.


Acting on the information, law enforcement officials arrested both suspects at the scene. The arrested individuals have been identified as 24-year-old Ramswaroop Bhairaram Bishnoi and 31-year-old Hariram Jagdish Paliwal, residents of Kalyanpur Tehsil in Balotra district, Rajasthan.


Officials reported that a total of 533 grams of MD was seized, with an estimated value exceeding ₹53 lakhs. They also mentioned that a case has been registered against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
