Investigation Launched into Missing Bodies in Odisha
Bhadrak: Authorities have initiated an inquiry following reports of missing corpses from a burial site in Bhadrak district, Odisha, as confirmed by officials on Saturday.
Residents have raised concerns that the remains of four individuals, who passed away in recent months, have vanished from the Maninathpur burial ground.
This troubling trend has reportedly been ongoing since 2017, with claims of 15 bodies unaccounted for to date.
"After my mother was buried, her body was discovered missing ten days later. I have filed a complaint with the police," stated local resident Tapas Samal.
Kamalakant Nayak, the officer in charge at the Bhandaripokhari police station, confirmed that an investigation is underway.
