Mysterious Heavy Chest Discovered in Andhra Pradesh Village
Discovery of the Heavy Chest
In a surprising find, a substantial chest weighing approximately 400 kilograms was unearthed during excavation work at an old building in the village of Karivamula, located in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. The discovery brought immense joy to the local residents, who began speculating about the contents of the chest. As news of the find spread, a crowd quickly gathered at the site, prompting the family to contact the authorities for assistance.
Opening the Chest
A team from the revenue department, along with police officials, arrived to open the mysterious chest. Using a gas cutter, they managed to unlock it, and the crowd eagerly awaited the unveiling of its contents. However, disappointment followed as the chest was found to contain only scrap materials, including paper, sand, and pieces of iron and steel. This revelation led to a gradual dispersal of the crowd.
How the Chest Was Found
The chest was discovered by local resident Narasimulu, who had purchased an old house previously owned by Krishna Reddy. While renovating the property, workers stumbled upon the chest buried in the foundation. Due to its significant weight, it had to be extracted using a tractor, which attracted the attention of many villagers who gathered outside.
Authorities' Response
Upon receiving the news, police and revenue department officials arrived at the scene to secure the area. Under tight security, they opened the chest, only to find old documents and sand inside. The discovery of these items left Narasimulu feeling disheartened, especially since the revenue officials indicated that all documents found were deemed illegal.
