Discovery of the Tiger Cub's Body

In a troubling incident, the body of a female tiger cub was found under suspicious circumstances in the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve area of Madhya Pradesh. A forest department official reported this on Thursday.


Initial assessments by the forest department suggest that the cub may have died due to a confrontation with another wild animal.


The official indicated that the cub's body was discovered during a patrol in the Kathli beat of the Tala forest range on Wednesday.


Anupam Sahay, the field director of Bandhavgarh, stated that the patrol team located the body of the cub, estimated to be around seven to eight months old, in compartment RF-331 of the Kathli beat.


Investigation and Safety Measures

Preliminary investigations point towards a potential struggle with another wild animal as the cause of death. The incident has been reported to senior officials, and all necessary protocols are being followed.


A detailed examination of the body was conducted, and the area was secured. After completing all legal and technical formalities, the body was disposed of according to regulations.
