MY Bharat's Remarkable Achievement

Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the prominent youth engagement initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has set a Guinness World Record for the highest number of participants in an online quiz within a week. A total of 390,812 individuals successfully completed the quiz during the specified timeframe.

Ceremony and Recognition

The official Guinness World Records certificate was awarded to MY Bharat during a ceremony at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday, as reported by a press release from the Press Information Bureau. The event was graced by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, along with Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, and other senior officials from the ministry and Guinness World Records.

Minister's Vision for Youth Engagement

This recognition was given for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders' Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz, a nationwide effort designed to boost youth involvement and awareness regarding the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The Ministry reported that the quiz attracted over 5.04 million participants from all 28 states and eight Union Territories via the MY Bharat portal, marking it as one of the largest digital youth engagement initiatives in the country.

Mandaviya praised MY Bharat and its team for this outstanding accomplishment, noting that the platform addresses the aspirations of India's youth, who make up nearly 65% of the population under 35 years old. He highlighted that in just three years, MY Bharat has amassed 21.9 million registrations, with new youth joining daily.

Empowering Youth Through Engagement

The Minister expressed that this Guinness World Record belongs to the youth of India, reflecting their trust in the journey towards Viksit Bharat. He emphasized that the MY Bharat portal serves not just as a digital platform but as a credible space for young individuals to engage, share ideas, and contribute to the Prime Minister's vision for Viksit Bharat@2047. This was notably illustrated when youth ideas from VBYLD were incorporated into the Union Budget 2026.

Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs, remarked that the MY Bharat portal has become a reliable platform for meaningful youth engagement across the nation, facilitating various forms of participation through the organic and voluntary involvement of young people.

Details of the Record Verification

The Guinness World Records evaluation took place from October 25 to October 31, 2025, during which over 839,000 quiz participations were logged.
