Tragic Incident in Nagpur

A shocking incident has occurred in Nagpur, where a member of the village council and a worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was murdered after exposing a land scam. According to police reports, the incident took place around 2:30 AM on the night between Monday and Tuesday in Pipla Dak Bungalow village, located in the Sawner tehsil.


The victim has been identified as Atul Patil. Authorities revealed that the attack was allegedly orchestrated by Himanshu Kumbhalkar, who entered Patil's home and fatally stabbed him, reportedly at the behest of Mukta Kokade, the former chairperson of the district council, and her husband, former sarpanch Vishnu Kokade.


Both Kumbhalkar and Kokade have been apprehended by the police. It was noted that Patil had previously exposed the land scam, leading to police action against Kokade and others based on his complaints during Kokade's tenure as sarpanch.
