Enforcement of Property Tax Collection


On March 24, in Jaipur, under the direction of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini, the Deputy Commissioner of the Civil Lines Zone, Mr. Devanand Sharma, led an operation to seize properties due to outstanding urban development taxes. This initiative targeted 21 properties, resulting in immediate payment of ₹32,68,488 from 12 property owners, while 9 properties were seized.


During the operation, revenue officials from the Civil Lines Zone, including Mr. Prashant Lakhan and Assistant Revenue Inspector Mr. Satya Narayan, were present to oversee the proceedings.


Mr. Devanand Sharma noted that prior to the seizure actions, 12 property owners took advantage of the state government's current waiver on interest and penalties, settling their outstanding urban development tax of ₹32,68,488 directly into the municipal treasury.


The properties seized included those belonging to Gopichand, son of Jagannath, located at D-3 Meera Marg, Bani Park; Badrinarayan, son of Ramgopal, at S-6 Kabir Marg, Bani Park; Chiranjee Lal, son of Govind Ram Agarwal, at H-60-B Bani Park, near Jaipur Highway; Sahil Chaudhary, at shop 23-24, Vekateshwar Colony, Mahadev Garments, New Sanganer Road; Suresh Upadhyay, at plot no. 5, Ashokpura, near Metro Pillar No. 120, Sodala, New Sanganer Road; Gopal Lal, at 21 Jhotwara Road, Shopping Center, Shastri Nagar; Suraj Mal, son of Chandra Ram Chaudhary, at 115 T.N. Mishra Marg, near JK Petrol Pump, Santosh Nagar; and Sitaram Saini, at 22 Sardar Patel Marg, Dhuleshwar Garden, C-Scheme, along with Fine Gems at New Artist Market, all of which had outstanding urban development taxes.
