The alliance of the BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, and the NCP, known as 'Mahayuti', has officially launched its election manifesto for the upcoming Mumbai municipal elections on Sunday. Prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, were present at the event. Key Promises in the Manifesto

The Mahayuti has made several crucial commitments focused on the development and safety of Mumbai. According to their manifesto, women will be eligible for interest-free loans of up to 5 lakh rupees to start their businesses. The goal is to make the city completely slum-free while providing improved housing options. Additionally, modern artificial intelligence tools will be employed to identify illegal immigrants residing in Mumbai.

Bringing Back Marathi People

Deputy Chief Minister Shinde stated that special programs will be developed to encourage Marathi individuals who have left Mumbai to return.

Targeting Opponents

During the manifesto launch, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took a jab at Uddhav Thackeray, asserting that Mahayuti prioritizes not just politics but also Hindutva and development. He referenced the 'birth certificate scam', mentioning that land has been secured for constructing 'detention centers' for those living illegally, and work on this is progressing swiftly.

Commitment to Accelerate Development

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized that the work accomplished by their government over the past three and a half years serves as a roadmap for furthering Mumbai's development. He promised the redevelopment of old 'pagdi' buildings and criticized previous BMC leaders for failing to contribute to the city's progress, asserting that Mahayuti will transform Mumbai's landscape.
