MS Dhoni Joins ICC Hall of Fame

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has been honored with induction into the ICC Hall of Fame, becoming the 11th Indian cricketer to receive this prestigious recognition. Under his leadership, India clinched three ICC titles, showcasing his exceptional skills both as a captain and a wicketkeeper.

Even at 43, Dhoni continues to demonstrate remarkable agility behind the stumps. Although he retired from international cricket in 2019, he remains active in the IPL, serving as the wicketkeeper for Chennai Super Kings.

During the Hall of Fame ceremony in London, former Indian coach Ravi Shastri praised Dhoni's wicketkeeping abilities, likening his quick stumpings to that of a pickpocket. Dhoni was formally inducted into the Hall of Fame at this event.

Shastri remarked that Dhoni's hands are quicker than a pickpocket's. He humorously noted that if you find yourself in a crucial match in India, especially in Ahmedabad, you wouldn't want Dhoni watching your back, lest your wallet goes missing.

The former head coach also highlighted Dhoni's calm demeanor, stating that whether he was dismissed for a duck or celebrating a World Cup victory, his expressions remained unchanged. Dhoni has amassed 17,266 runs in 538 international matches and has made 829 dismissals as a wicketkeeper.
