Tragic Incident Shocks the Nation
The shocking murder of Ketan Agarwal, a real estate businessman from Pune, at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra has left the nation in disbelief. Nearly a month after this tragic event, his mother, Rakhi Agarwal, has penned an emotional letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, pleading for justice for her son and urging that the perpetrators face severe punishment under the law. It is alleged that on June 18, Ketan was pushed off a cliff by Siya Goyal (20) and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary (22). The couple was set to marry in November. Both suspects have been apprehended and are currently in police custody until July 16.
A Mother's Heartfelt Plea
In her letter to the Prime Minister, Rakhi expressed her disbelief that she had to seek justice for her own child. She shared that, like any mother, she envisioned Ketan leading a fulfilling life, marrying, and growing old with her. Instead, she faced the heartbreaking task of arranging his funeral. Describing her grief, she stated that her son was brutally murdered, leaving her world shattered. Every corner of their home reminds her of him—his room, clothes, photographs, and the silence that has replaced his laughter serve as constant reminders that he will never return.
Family's Double Tragedy
Rakhi also revealed that the family suffered another loss due to this tragedy. Just twenty days after Ketan's death, her father-in-law passed away, unable to cope with the grief of losing his beloved grandson. In a short span, the family has lost two generations. Directly addressing the Prime Minister, Rakhi emphasized that she seeks justice, not sympathy or special treatment. She stated, "Modi Ji, I am not asking for sympathy or any special favors. I only want justice."
Call for Justice
She expressed that each day without justice amplifies their pain. While Ketan cannot return, those responsible for his death must receive the harshest penalties under the law. With folded hands, she urged the Prime Minister to ensure that this case receives the necessary attention and that justice is delivered without delay.
