Monsoon 2025 Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that conditions are becoming favorable for the southwest monsoon's progression. Rainfall is expected in various regions across the country, with the monsoon likely to reach parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha within the next two days. Following that, areas in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar can anticipate rain over the next three days.
The weather agency has announced an active monsoon period from June 15 to 17, predicting heavy to extremely intense rainfall across the southern peninsula and the Konkan & Goa regions. After experiencing intense heat since early June, Delhi has seen a notable shift in weather, resulting in cooler temperatures. However, severe heat wave conditions are still affecting several areas in Northwestern India, including the Western Himalayan Region.
Many regions are also experiencing elevated night temperatures, with hot and humid conditions expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Bihar.
