Mohanlal Expresses Regret Over Visa Complications

Thiruvananthapuram, August 8 - Renowned Malayalam actor Mohanlal extended his apologies to the organizers and audience of an event in Sydney, Australia, which he could not attend due to visa complications. In a video message recorded in Singapore, he expressed his disappointment about missing the event and emphasized that he does not wish to blame anyone for the situation. Reports indicate that the event was canceled due to Mohanlal's inability to travel to Sydney.

Mohanlal stated, “I am speaking to you from Singapore. I am at a loss for words to express my sadness. I am extremely disappointed.”

Having been in the film industry for nearly 50 years, he remarked, “I might be one of the actors in India who has participated in the most events.” He mentioned that he has already performed in the USA, Germany, the UK, and Ireland this year, and had planned a well-themed program for Sydney. Mohanlal added, “Everyone, including KS Chithra, is there.”

However, he expressed confusion over the circumstances, saying, “I have never faced a situation where I was denied a visa before. I am unsure how this happened.”

He speculated that it could be a technical or clerical error, or perhaps an issue related to AI. “I am not delving into the specifics of what actually transpired,” he noted.

Mohanlal took full responsibility for the situation, stating, “I am telling you that this is my fault. I deeply regret this and sincerely apologize to all of you.”
